The Cyber Breach Law takes effect November 1st 2018

Amendments to the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act require all organizations to report to Canada’s privacy commissioner any breach that poses real risk of significant harm, notify affected individuals, and keep a record of every privacy breach no matter how nonthreatening.
